This close-up view of Treva's upper teeth shows how her crowded front teeth create a "crooked smile".   The worn and uneven back teeth present another potential problem: premature tooth breakdown and more unattractive esthetic decay. 

If Dr. White only straightens the front four teeth and does not restore ("build up") the back teeth, the potential likelihood of front tooth breakage is increased.
